OUR MISSION
Hills Academy provides students an exceptional, biblically based, early education, building a strong foundation for future learning in a caring environment that fosters social, physical, academic, spiritual, and emotional growth.
At Hills Academy, we recognize that focusing on hiring, training, and taking care of our staff is an important piece of our school being a successful, unique, and wonderful place for your child to be. Our desire is to have a staff that has a passion for educating young learners and for teaching them about God’s love for them as well as modeling Christian character traits that your child can apply to his or her life.

Communication
Constant communication will include daily check ins at drop off and pick up, weekly newsletters, use of our Brightwheel app, an open door policy, and the opportunity to schedule in person meetings.
Conferences
Parent/Teacher conferences will be scheduled two times during a school calendar year to ensure home and school are working together to best serve each child.
Parent Volunteers
Opportunities for parent volunteers and visits to the classroom, on field trips, and during special events.

Tobbi Monroe
Academy Director
Tobbi is a Colorado native and lives in Fort Lupton with her husband, three kids, and a mini farm of animals consisting of dogs, ducks, chickens, bunnies, and more!
Tobbi has been in education for over 20 years. Throughout that time, Tobbi has been a part of a Christian school in Brighton, as well as opened a preschool at a charter school in Longmont.
She is humbled and honored to have the opportunity to open and establish Hills Academy.
Shantel Romero
Early Childhood Teacher
Ms. Shantel has been a long term resident of Brighton for over 30 years where she currently resides with her family. She has been in Early Childhood Education for over 10 years and has a deep passion for teaching little ones about the love of God. She is so excited to be a part of all that God is doing with the launch of this new program. She feels extremely blessed and called to this special place as the Early Childhood Teacher for Hills Academy.
Emily Soole
Homeschool Enrichment Teacher
Emily lives in Thornton with her husband, two children, and two dogs. She is a licensed Elementary Education teacher with 8 years of teaching experience. She has taught in public and private schools and was a teacher of the year nominee in SVVSD in 2020. After spending the last few years home with her kids, she is so excited to embark on this new adventure of supporting homeschooling families and providing a fun, Godly, loving environment for her students to grow and learn.
Kayley Montoya
Toddler Early Childhood Teacher
Kayley’s deepest passion in life is knowing Jesus. From that connection with Him, she has discovered other things that bring her great joy: being with loved ones, expressing creativity, and coming alongside children and families to see them thrive.
She has sharpened her skills in childcare with a degree in sociology, a minor in Christian Studies, and an ECE certificate. She also has had the opportunity to serve children in a variety of settings such as schools, summer camps, and nannying. She is very excited to partner with the Hills Academy team to create a faith-filled and excellent learning program!
Michelle George
Early Childhood Teacher
Ms. Michelle lives in Brighton with her husband and three kids. She has worked in the public school district for the past 7 years in the Early Childhood classrooms. She feels partnering with parents to be one of the first educators for little ones is so important. She is both excited and blessed to be joining Hills Academy.
Peyten Fisher
Toddler Early Childhood Teacher
My name is Peyten! I grew up in small town Wyoming and attended college at the University of Wyoming. While attending school there I met my now husband. He has lived in Brighton practically his whole life and I ended up following him here. We have been blessed with two beautiful children. I have been working in Early Childhood for many years now and I am so excited to be at Hills Academy.
Alyssa Hilton
Infant Early Childhood Teacher
Hello, my name is Alyssa but most people call me Lyss. I have been working in the Early Childhood field since 2018. I have worked in classrooms from infants up to kindergarten but have found my biggest passion for infants and toddlers. I am married and have three children between the ages of 4 months and 5 years. I also have two dogs and a tortoise. In my free time, I enjoy reading, baking, art, snowboarding, fishing, and spending time with my family. I am very excited to begin my journey at Hills Academy and I cannot wait to meet you and your little ones.
Macee Monroe
Infant Early Childhood Teacher
My name is Macee and I am honored to be an assistant in the 3-year-old class at Hills Academy. While I am studying Nutrition and Athlete Wellness, my love and passion for working with children continues to grow.
I am a native of Colorado and live in Fort Lupton with my family and some farm animals. I love to read and spend time with friends and family!
I am excited to be a part of Hills Academy and looking forward to seeing how it grows.
Laura Quinby
Infant Early Childhood Teacher
I’m Laura Quinby and I am excited to be a part of the Hills Academy Team! I firmly believe that learning should be fun, engaging, and accessible to all students. I am a Colorado native and grew up in a rural area near Brighton, where my husband and I currently reside. Together we raised four boys and now have two daughter-laws and five grandchildren and they are our absolute pride and joy! We love spending time in the beautiful Colorado mountains, hiking, biking, kayaking, and camping! I am thoroughly blessed to be part of an organization that supports my beliefs and passions for Early Childhood Development and Education.

Floating Aide
Hello, my name is Audrey. I am excited to be joining Hills Academy as a Floating Aide. I have lived most of my life in Brighton CO. I am married with two beautiful daughters. I enjoy being in the mountains and making crafts. I am looking forward to meeting you all.
